Fairy Tale Love

This was a cute quick read that put a spin on Cinderella. Lance is coming home from the military to help his family’s business, his mom wants to fix him up with someone but once his eyes land on Charlotte he knows she’s the one. Charlotte is a hard worker opening up her own bakery and has a horrible step mom and step sister but she loves her own life and has created a family out of her friends. There are a lot of twists and turns that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I haven’t read the books previous to this one but I wasn’t lost at all. Now I’m going back to read books 1 & 2.

This was a hot, steamy, and quick read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. James is a rodeo champ that has come home for the summer to help with his family's ranch and Sophie is working with the local vet doing an internship for the summer. When they first meet sparks fly and not the romantic kind of sparks but angry sparks as they kind of argue but then they resolve their issues and become close. James is sexy and alpha but has respect for women and loves hard. Sophie is sweet, a hard worker, and can be wild at times. I enjoyed their story and want to read the others brothers stories asap.

The Wrong Guy by Lauren Landish
Cold Springs series #2. Contemporary romance. Can be read as a stand-alone.
Wren Ford and Jesse Sullivan had a brief relationship but then went their separate ways because their communication skills needed work. A high-profile divorce in the small town of Cold Springs impacts Wren as the attorney when contracts need to be reviewed, and Jesse as the job site manager. They renew their friends with benefits relationship but neither is ready to talk about something more permanent. Can they get to their happily ever after with each other?

Wren and Jesse are combustible together. He’s hero material for sure bringing her food during long working hours, bringing donuts to the office employees, replacing burnt out light bulbs in his mother’s bakery, and cracking jokes to help shift the mood. He’s a good man and his mother did a good job raising him. Wren knows all this. Now they just have to work out the details. And remember to be quiet if on the phone, or in her office during those more intimate moments.
Loved the banter, and overall feel of this town with heart. I definitely want to try the nachos.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I will definitely check out the 1st book in the series that I missed as well as others.½

Great characters

Fun read. Language was a little more than it needed to be, and I don’t normally care much about that, but the characters were well drawn and easy to pull for.

BDSM trope set at Club X. Not really my type of book but it was free. Lucien and Dahlia= Dom/Sub & all he calls her is "Treasure"

BDSM Master/Slave=Isaac & Katia who he calls "Kitten". They are both damaged with loads of baggage and he trains her to be a slave that she wants to be. OK but kind of choppy. Not my type but it was free

I enjoyed this book, but felt there could have been more the story than just the enemies-to-lovers aspect between Wyatt and Hazel. Wyatt's back in town for his brother's wedding and having to deal with attractive bridesmaid Hazel, who can't stand him and catching up on all that his family has been going through since he left. The beginning started out slowly, but I did enjoy the ending with the "bad" family member getting caught. As much as I enjoyed Wyatt and Hazel together, didn't seem plausible that after running away Wyatt would return and just not go back to his previous life at all. The ending felt very Hallmark-movie like ending - quickly wrapped in a pretty bow. Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC.

The MCs only thrill in live is doing dares with her BFF. Of course she is caught in an embarrasing moment by the english super business man and the rest is obvious. Entertaining but nothing special.

Welllll...

I just couldn't get into OFF LIMITS the same way that I was able to get into Lauren Landish's other books. Off Limits just didn't grab and hold my attention. It seemed as if there was no plot or story line.

Based off the synopsis, this romance novel was everything I wanted and more but page by page, the dislike for the heroine, Hazel, grew stronger. I'm all about strong, outspoken women but she was too crass for my liking and the fact that she fell in line with her family's thoughts about the Ford family instead of building her own opinion was just not it for me.

Besides the unlikeable heroine, the depth and character development was non-existent. We also can't forget the lack of chemistry between the main characters. Am I the only that that didn't see it? More than anything, it was more so instalust and I just couldn't picture Hazel and Wyatt together. Nonetheless—the heroine, side political storyline, and lack of chemistry made me drop this like a hot potato. Maybe next time, Lauren Landish!

A good book with a look at how inter-office romances can be cause for concern but this one had a happy ever after

I think I need to reevaluate Cowboy romance because sweet lord was Bruce a little slice of dirty talking heaven. His mouth was FIRE. I enjoyed watching this spin on a former star football player and cheerleader getting their second chance. Allison and Bruce together were perfect in both the past and ten years later.

I feel like I should have read the Bennet series before this one, even though this was a standalone, in order to get the dynamics of this family. There are several times that history is mentioned. Even though it didn't hamper this story, I think it would have made me like it even more.

This book was highly entertaining. So many great moments between the characters. My biggest complaint with it, however, was the timing. It just was hard to accept the rebound in just two weeks. Had this been a longer time span I would have completely believed it. Especially, as these two definitely had the chemistry. I understand the reasons why but it was needed to be believable by both sides and this small portion detracted from that.

Still enjoyable though.

Cute story. I was wanting a few areas fleshed out more but I loved the humor and the snark between characters. I'd love it if Tiff and "Daddy" got a story too.

This author can write some runner inner monologues. I was cracking up at Brody and Erica's inner thoughts. Add in humor, great banter, an engaging story, and this was a hit. Definitely, recommend.

Enjoyable and engaging story. There were some fantastic lines in this. Hell, I could have highlighted the while prologue about love. Very sage advice.

One of the things that I have loved the most about this series of brothers is the slow build-up to a love story. There is a depth to the world-building and characters that I appreciate. Even if the story happens in a relatively short time-span it feels like time stands still.

Loved seeing the old characters and seeing this whole family heal and move forward. Loved Bobby. He is my favorite of all the brothers. And his relationship with Willow was special. I wanted something more from her, I don't know what, but something about her blog bothered me. I wanted more. I loved her character and heart though.

This book was craaaaazy. Well, maybe I feel like crazy isn’t even close to what this book was, maybe...unrealistic? There were parts I was totally on board with. I could get past the unrealistic MC intro(I mean, just her voice got you turned on and you’ve never met this chick? Puh-leasee) and accept the pace of the romance and the overall book Itself. yes ladies, there is ALOT of dirty talk. The first time I read this book I didn’t mind just how much there was, second time around I’ve discovered it for what it truly was. A cover up for a Lack of chemistry. There is nOoOoo chemistry zero zilch nada.
