This engaging memoir was first privately published in 2003 by the author. He was an engineer lieutenant in the RCNVR who served ini-tially with Cobalt on the triangle run. But the bulk of the book concerns his service on Qu’Appelle, particularly service for the Normandy landings and with a notable account of Skeena’s grounding and sinking. Towards the end of the war he served briefly on Battler then stood by Warrior in Belfast.
