This is an excellent and informative two-part German introduction/handbook to and for children's literature. Each of the sections is written by internationally/nationally known academics, and there are detailed bibliographies at the end of each section (and not at the end of the book itself, which I rather liked). The second volume also contains both an author and a subject index (especially the detailed subject index is an added bonus, considering that many German academic analyses often fail to provide this). Much more detailed and informative than some of the shorter introductions available, this is a must-read for anyone interested and intrigued by German children's literature.… (altro)
