Catalogue published on the occasion of the solo exhibition at the CAG's new facility, May 4 - July 21, 2001.

'Germaine Koh... has developed a practice that is remarkable in its use of the commonplace, bringing into play aspects of our daily lives that are not always noticed, let alone find a place within an art gallery. Koh's work is based on an exploration of systems: systems of communication; systems of circulation and exchange; systems of decision ande chnace; ande as Laura U. Marks discusses in her text for the publication, systems of translation, expecially those with which we are not immediately conscious'.

Catalogue for an exhibition held at Centre A from January 13 to February 17, 2007.

'For Overflow, Koh recycles bottles that are collected by binners, people who roam the streets and alleys of Vancouver, picking up recyclable material – be it bottles, cans, scrap metal, clothing – and then trading or selling the items to for-profit or non-profit agencies. Koh is working with United We Can, well known in Vancouver for itscommunity based recycling service. The bottles are used to make processual sculptures and installations that change over the course of the exhibition.

With this humble gesture, Germaine Koh brings together an unusual team of partners and at the same time exposes some of the defining forces in Vancouver’s economic and cultural development, including ough questions relating to ecology, health and housing.'

Catalogue for an exhibition held at Para/Site Art Space (Hong Kong) from May 28 to June 20, 2004.

'STALL is a combination of several installation works, including new site-specific pieces, offering an interesting look at the interconnected relationship between various types of commercial transactions.

In "Stall," grass sprouting from wooden stepped structures resembling market stands occupy the gallery, whereby the uneven-ness of grass catches the natural ambience of the space. While making reference to commercial cycles of production and consumption, "Stall" takes the gallery space out of that cycle of urgency, in favour of a natural process of organic growth.

A new installation, involving hundreds of recycled bottles constructed in a formation uniquely pertinent to the cityscape of Hong Kong occupies the first floor gallery.'
