My Butt is SO SILLY! di Dawn McMillan
This book was so silly and so much fun. I know there are a few of these books, and I have never wanted to read them before. However, in Ohio, a teacher or principle was fired for reading one of these books aloud to the school during assembly. So I had to read it. This book was so much fun. Is it potty humor, absolutely? But that is what makes it approachable. There is no reason these books should be banned. They should be celebrated for helping kids want to read!
I enjoyed reading this modern version of Cinderella. First, I enjoyed the different types of fonts used throughout the book. For example the words “crazy,” “mean,” and “zap” all were written in different fonts which built excitement throughout the story. Second, I liked how the author modernized the story of Cinderella. For example, in this story Cindy wore bedazzled flip-flops and a short pink dress instead of glass slippers and a ball gown. The moral of this story is dreams can come true even through unlikely circumstances.… (altro)
A classic New Zealand style Cinderella. If you are familiar with Kiwi's and their culture this one will have you laughing out loud!
