This book was so great from the beginning and held my attention until the very end, the author is new to me but I will definitely be reading more of her work. Logan is an ex-military man that now works for his buddies doing contracted work of bodyguard, etc. He has had his heart broken by his ex and he thought love just wasn’t in the cards for him, so he works hard and lives his life alone. One night he meets his boss’ sister, Cadie, and she is just a breath of fresh air that Logan can’t seem to get off his mind. Cadie works hard and plays very little but when she meets Logan, she starts to want things she never use to. These two have a perfect chemistry and attraction that they try to fight it for as long as they can, so when Cadie’s life is in danger Logan doesn’t hesitate to protect her. Logan struggles back and forth with his attraction to Cadie because he doesn’t want to jeopardize her life, his relationship with her brothers, and his career. If you are into hot alpha heroes that protect, are loyal, and love hard then this book is for you because it has it in spades and plenty of action to keep you on your toes.… (altro)

I love discovering new authors. Especially, when they can write like this. Considering this is a debut author I am very impressed. This author did a great job at world-building and setting the stage for what looks like many more possible books to come.

Very interesting characters and a lot of things going on. Normally, I would have liked to have the story primarily focus on the characters that are involved in this particular story but can understand that this is the foundation for the rest of their stories. I see great things about where this series could go. The steam in this book is HOT. However, I would have loved if the characters hadn't gone the instant-love route and instead built on their chemistry. That is largely just me as a reader though because I have never been a fan of instant love as it often feels cheesy. I like to see the relationship evolve and grow.

Looking forward to more from this author. I see great things for her as an author.
