The tale of medical research gone too far. David Townsend is kidnapped by a medical organization called Euromedic. He happens to be the identical twin of Dr Stuart Townsend, a leading researcher in a secret team working on the universal dilemma of human aging. Secretly they have been treating influential politicians and the super-rich with their controversial process. Everything works wonderfully at first, but inevitably the process fails. Dr Stuart, who holds the key to the 'fix' is critically injured and will only be saved with a heart transplant. The Euromedic team realize that twin brother David will be the ideal donor. The whole novel revolves around David trying to understand why he has been kidnapped, what is in store for him and how he can elude this team of mad scientists who are out for his heart. The fast action of flight and pursuit is enhanced by David's co-opting the help of Dr Sara Mills, a medical researcher in a legitimate section of Euromedic. She is initally sceptical of his fantastical story. However, as in all good novels, Dr Sara falls in love with David and helps him unravel the whole matter.… (altro)
