W.E. Kidd writes tongue-in-cheek about his own life and aspirations.
There is no doubt that he is incredibly intelligent and driven. Since age 5 he knew he wanted to be a stockbroker, without really knowing what that was. Regardless, he drove himself towards that goal relentlessly, and you have to admire what he achieved.
I enjoyed this book as much as the much cited movies "Wall Street" and "Wall Street 2". Even though W.E. initially wanted to be a stockbroker, that term has gone extinct in the USA, and he turned into a Wealth Manager. similar, but not the same.
He was incredibly successful in the first 2 years. I admire how he realized that there was no future in it beyond 2 years, and decided to go on this "walkabout". He again took lemons and made lemonade. Kudos for being smart, recognizing opportunities, knowing when to bail out, and finding that open window when the door closes.
The book left me curious to find out if he made the jump in Zuerich. I think he did...he's that kind of guy… (altro)
