Wall Street trader Jay Corbin learns that his long-lost father has been killed and not long after that is his mother assassinated. Now together with a Jackie Walls, a CIA bodyguard must he figure out what his father was investigating. What was it his father knew that got him killed? The trail leads to Zurich and it seems that the Nazis is behind everything...

I admit that the first person narrative got a bit annoying in this book, but, fortunately, the story was interesting enough to keep my interest. Jay Corbin may be the main character, but I found Eytan Morg, the Mossad agent to be the most interesting character in the book, even though I guessed his background early on. It was a nice thriller with a fast-paced story and I will continue reading the series.

I received this copy from the publisher through Netgalley in return for an honest review!

I manage to miss this book and go straight to book 3; The Morgenstern Project in the Consortium series. But I have now corrected that. And, while the book was, for the most part, OK did I miss Jeremy Corbin and Jacqueline Walls from book 1 and 3. I just love the banter between Jeremy and Eyton.

Although I did enjoy reading about Eytan Morgenstern and Elena working together, despite their previous bad history. And, it was nice to learn how Eli and Eyton first met (a very sweet flashback) and how Elena came to be the person she is today.

I think reading the books in chronological order is probably best, there are past events that makes much more sense if you have read the previous books. I just wish I had read this book before The Morgenstern Project because for instance the ending really makes sense of the beginning of The Morgenstern Project.

I want to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy for an honest review!

Jeremy Corbin and Jackie Walls are living a peaceful life in a New Jersey suburb after the adventures in “The Bleiberg Project” a couple of years before. But now everything is about to change. The Consortium hasn't forgotten about them and their friend Eytan Morgenstern must come to their rescue...

I really liked Eytan Morgenstern in the first book “The Bleiberg Project” and was looking forward to reading more in the series.

In this book we get to follow Eytan Morgenstern, Jeremy Corbin and Jackie Walls and two new characters Avi and Eli, friends of Eytan as they take on Consortium. The book also takes us back in time when Eytan was a young boy after he escaped from Stutthof. I admit that I prefer the story during the Second World War to the one in the present time. I was more eager to know more about Eytan and how he came to be the man he is today than the present time hunt for the Consortium.

The book was OK to read and I'm looking forward to reading more books about Eytan Morgenstern in the future.

I received this copy from the publisher through NetGalley in return for an honest review! Thank you!

Book #3 of the series did not disappoint. Lots of action and another great storyline. The book was left with an ending in which the series could be over or continue. Great read.

A confused beginning with many characters and eras introduced, but the story unfolds spectacularly.
It is about an Israeli man Eytan who was subjected to genetic experiments by the Nazis during WW2., and people - the Consortium - attempting to capture him.
I understand this is book 3 in a series. Reads as a standalone story, but reading the others will enhancecthis book.
I received a digital copy from the publisher via Netgalley in return for an honest unbiased review.

As I read David Khara’s “The Shiro Project” I was reminded of “Immobility” by Brian Evanson. The story of two giants created for the sole purpose of completing a task. While Evanson’s fine novel is a post-apocalyptic masterpiece, “The Shiro Project” leads us into a plot that is the beginning of the end of the world.

For years, dating back to Japanese prison-of-war camps and followed up by US Army research in the late 1950s governments have been tampering with and collecting viruses to monitor, understand, and afflict these weapons of mass-destruction on their unsuspecting enemies. The Nazi’s evil geniuses, in an effort to produce the Master Race, has built almost Frankensteinish models, enlarged humans that live extended life-spans, in an effort to repopulate the world with a super-human species.

Two such characters survived. One, Eytan, fights for good, and had been recruited in to the Mossad. The other, his female counter-part, Elena, works for evil under the command of the Consortium. Eli, Eytan’s control, a man he loved like a father, is kidnapped by the Consortium and the two assassins are forced to work together. They must discover who stole a viral strain of an airborne virus, taken by terrorists for a biological attack, and report back to The Cypher with the information on where they’re stored and who stole them.

In a thrill-a-minute romp from Prague to Tokyo, the two adversaries form a link of mutual trust as they are thrust headfirst in the rush to avoid the coming apocalypse and expose the truth of the evil that men do.

It is difficult to express in words how much The Morgenstern Project moved my thoughts and emotions. I received a copy from Eidelwess and really took my time reading it. I tried to digest it slowly because this was Morg's story. It was told simultaneously alternating between Morg's past and Morg's current life as he fights on the current front against the Consortium's machinations and his fight to distance himself from the Bleiberg project. Morg is this larger than life Mossad agent who hunts war criminals, typically those from World War II.

In The Morgenstern Project Morg meets up again with Jackie and Jeremy whom we met in the first book, The Bleiberg Project. They developed a deep bond with Eytan Morgenstern in that story which continues though they have not seen him since the events in that book ended. Jackie and Jeremy are targeted by a faction of the U.S. government who have been made aware of Morg's longevity and they want to study him and are willing to use whatever means they can to capture him, including targeting his friends and whatever family he may have. As the story progresses Eli tells the story of how he met Morg and how their lives had intertwined throughout the many years. We also meet more of Morg's family and as they fight this new front created by The Consortium we step through Morg's childhood and learn about his history.

The Morgenstern Project is the best of the series so far. As far as I can tell the series grows in character development, story development and David Khara, the author, grows in writing, story and character development skills as well. The book is full of excitement, action and the technology and niche of this story regarding Morg's physical abilities. As I read about Morg's past and the current story I was struck with a huge sadness for what he and the people of Poland went through during World War II and for what some of the story depicted during the current day part of the story. The Morgenstern Project draws you into everyone's lives in the story. At one point I was literally moved to tears and that is not something that easily occurs for me when reading a story, but David Khara wrote a very moving story and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

From the beginning I was engrossed by this book. Jeremy Corbin is a trader on Wall Street, he has been depressed and drinking quite a bit because of an accident in which he killed a young child. He learns his father is not who he thought he was. He was informed by CIA that his father was killed. He is given a Nazi medallion and put on a plane to Zurich accompanied by a female CIA agent who is quite beautiful. His mother is killed in a suspicious accident and they are being followed by a Mossad agent. Everything happens during the second world war and continues through present day.
This is a well written plot with believable and great characters.

This is a fast-paced thriller with twists and turns each step of the way. Thirty pages into it and I just couldn't put it down! The story plays out with current day cat and mouse exchanges and adrenaline-charged chases set against World War II historic vignets. This sixty year span establishes the tremendous breadth of the conspiracy.

The English translation of the original french, "Le Projet Bleiberg" (2010) was exquisitely executed by Simon John. I eagerly await the next installment in this thrill-a-minute series.

An excellent thriller! Everyone should pick this up.

From the present day, to the harrowing days of WWII, The Bleiberg Project is a fantastical story that kept me reading. Khara builds suspense by flashing back to events during the war, and giving the reader hints, and he adeptly moves between characters. I was most fascinated by Eytan Morg, the assassin for Mossad, and the twists in his story surprised me. I'm hoping that isn't the end of Eytan's character.

This is another great read from the team at LeFrenchBook -- I am so glad that someone is intent on making translations of award-winning, impressive crime and thriller novels from French into English. I'm hoping that LeFrenchBook will bring more of Khara's work into their upcoming catalogue.

My thanks to Le French Book for providing a copy for an honest review.

This is an interesting read that gets you thinking about how history may have turned out differently. The story moves between present day and the days of Hitler's reign. What if Hitler had succeeded? There is intrigue and conspiracy woven beautifully through the story. It reminded me a little of John LeCarre's writings. Interesting characters and generally a good storyline.

Un thriller au rythme soutenu. Malgré quelques poncifs (le recours au nazisme, à la théorie du complot mondial, une amourette naïve entre deux des ) l'histoire se lit agréablement
