Tessa Kenan's "Hooray for Firefighters!" is a book which introduces the profession of firefighters to young children. This book would be great for kindergartners and first graders. This could be used to introduce a community member coming in to talk about firefighting. The kids could create questions they still have from the book and ask the firefighter in person.
