Full of humour and self-depreciation, this is a cookbook that made me want to cook several items in it. She's realistic about available time and starts with a good vinaigrette, basic steak cooking and cooking a roast chicken in the first chapter. Chapter two is "Brekkie, Brunch and Elevenses" where she admits that these are special breakfasts, not your usual breakfast.
Chapter three is No-Fuss Dinners for the time poor; Chapter four is sides. Five is Show-off or food when you have time and possibly guests and chapter six is Sweet Stuff, deserts.

I was impressed by the style and like the attitude, the dishes look well laid out and while some have slightly unusual ingredients she advises how to find them or how to substitute.… (altro)
