Very interesting & I'm glad I read it, but the details got over my head fast it is on such a scholarly analytical level. One chapter is entitled "Analyzing a Folk Style" & is full of computations & formulas - more information than I want or need. I really liked the chapters on the historical background & the development of black on red ware, past symbolisms, and the details as they relate to Aztec culture & pulque. It is difficult to find these details about pulque elsewhere, so the book is worth reading for that information alone but for the rest, too.
