I found this book to be of average advice. I was looking for a book to help a friend navigate this difficult time. Although there were a few insights, it all seemed like the same information the lawyers provided.

Although I am not going through a divorce, or contemplating one, reading this book helped me to be able to be there for my best friend while she went through her divorce. The book provides a great overview of what is involved in divorces and steps that can be taken to make sure that the least amount of pain is involved (where possible).

I've been divorced. There's some helpful information in this book about the process but not enough in here about the real problem behind divorce. Emotional turmoil and how to contain it long enough to get a fair and equitable divorce. This reads like a business book and when going through a divorce it's good to have this...but much more helpful to have emotional guidance about how to talk to each other without affecting the kids, etc.

A very concise, easy to read manual on getting a divorce. Just, a divorce attorney, concisely outlines your options when seeking a divorce and offers easy to follow, common sense advice for the person considering divorce. What was especially appreciated was the emphasis on getting help through a mental help professional.
