Easy to read and highly recommended book written by Ava's maid/companion who spent more than 40 years with Gardner. Each chapter left you wanting to get to the next. Most interesting were the portions on Gardner's relationship with Sinatra and the several chapters devoted to the filming of Night of the Iguana. It was sad to read how George C Scott treated Gardner. There were several errors in the book including Vivien Leigh's name spelled as Vivian, Albert Hitchcock referred to as Arthur Hitchcock, and Daryl Zanuck credited with being the director of 1940's The Blue Bird (it was Walter Lang). However, overall I really enjoyed the book and felt that you really got to know Gardner as an individual.… (altro)
