Architect Wes Jones first utilized the comic format in 1989 to convey mood for a project, realizing the narrative structure allowed a certain freedom that architectural drawings didn't. He extended this format into a series of strips for ANY Magazine -- the nexus of architectural theory in the 1990s -- that presents the domestic life of, I'm guessing, the Nelsons. Lighthearted at times, esoteric in others, having all the strips in one place is a treat and a welcome respite from the words and photos of most architectural publishing.… (altro)

American gastroenterologist Dr. Wesley Jones believes that virtually all digestive problems have one single underlying cause: constipation. He explains how chronic diarrhoea can actually be constipation in disguise and how modern diets and stressful lifestyles have made poor digestion such a common experience that sometimes people don't even recognize it as a problem. In this book Dr. Jones details a fibre therapy program that in his experience has helped many of his patients. His advice includes how to take the fibre, and in what quantities and also rethinking sources of fibre. There is a chapter on his theories as to how Cancer and Alzheimer’s could be caused by toxins not moving through the bowel fast enough and being absorbed into the body. I thought this book was very useful although I would have liked to have seen heavier editing. Try it, it could well help!… (altro)
