I think one of my favorite things about this Cocky Hero World is that I get to discover new authors to me. I haven't ever read this author and I am pondering how that is possible. Strong writing, strong characters, and a foundation to a story that grows. I have been intrigued by Adele since I read about her in a previous Cocky World Club book. I thought I had a pretty good idea about what her story would be like and how it would go. I couldn't have been more wrong, and I loved that.

Finn, my lord, was this man delicious. I loved the connection that Adele and he had. There was a sense of closeness that grew from their connection. It wasn't lust, and it wasn't instant love. Instead, it felt like two souls merging, as if the other had been waiting for the other all along. The emails that Finn wrote to her, were so sweet and honest with a lot of vulnerability. That was a nice touch.

The only reason that this didn't rank higher is it felt so rushed at the end, like the author was trying to make everything fit together in order for the book to end. After the slow build of the journey of these characters, I felt like it was an injustice to the book and the characters. I would have also liked to see the responses to Adele's gift at the end.

I love the World of True North that Sarina Bowen has created so I was beyond thrilled to find out that other authors would be writing books set in this world. This is my first book by Rebecca Jenshak and I cannot wait to read more by her.

I was a bit worried that I would not like this book because I was so annoyed with Kaitlyn in the last book she was in. However, I totally changed my mind about her and really enjoyed her story. It really helped that Lex Vonne was such a great character, I am obsessed with him now.

I am very excited to read more books that take place in the World of True North as I know there will be several by a variety of authors coming out soon. This is a relatable place with characters you truly care for and want to see a happy outcome given to.

I am a huge Smart Jocks fan and I think I gave every book in the series so far five stars. I have been so excited for this one and it took me too long to actually pick it up. I was excited to jump into this world and these characters again.

The series as a whole can be read as standalones. However; I feel this one was very disconnected from the others. It read a little more youthful than the others. At times I found the behaviors and situations very immature. It all just fell flat for me.

Sadly, I did not love this one. However; this is still one of my favorite series that I will recommend to everyone.½

Rebecca Jenshak scores with SLAPSHOT (Moo U #2). In this story, Kaitlyn Dalager transfers to her father’s alma matter, Burlington University, aka Moo U. Her father; Declan was a hockey legend there and in the NHL. Despite hating hockey, she takes a job as the team’s equipment manager. She catches the eye of hockey forward, Lex Vonne. He will have his work cut out for him convincing her that he is interested in her for her and not who her father is. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for new adults.

Rebecca Jenshak does a nice job with this story. She does a great job developing the characters and incorporating the other characters in the series. Kaitlyn and Lex had interesting obstacles to overcome, and I like how they both grew throughout the story.

SLAPSHOT is a great fit in Sarina Bowen’s world of True North. I like how Vino and Veritas was incorporated into the novel. I recommend this book to people who enjoy Sarina Bowen’s world of True North and/or sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This was such a good listen! If you follow my reviews, you already know that I love a good hockey romance and that I have really enjoyed Sarina Bowen's World of True North so I was eager to listen to this book. Rebecca Jenshak is a new to me author so I was also looking forward to sampling her writing. This book turned out to be a very enjoyable listen from beginning to end.

Kaitlyn is new to Moo U after a bad situation. She is living in the dorm and her roommate stole her boyfriend. Now she has been cut off financially by her famous father and has to get a job. She ends up with the last job she would have wanted working as the equipment manager for the Moo U hockey team. The fact that her father turned hockey pro after attending Moo U probably didn't hurt her in getting the job. Lex is focused on hockey and moving up in the team. Lex didn't pick up a hockey stick until high school so he feels like he is a bit behind the other guys on the team when it comes to experience. He is a genuinely nice guy who happens to be drawn to the new equipment manager and somehow is able to break through her shields.

I loved Lex and Kaitlyn together. Kaitlyn is always worried that people only want to get close to her in order to get close to her famous father. Lex somehow worked his way past her defenses and the sparks really flew every time they were together. I thought that these two had fantastic chemistry together and I felt like their personalities fit together perfectly. I loved seeing them together and it was fun watching their relationship develop over the course of the story.

Emma Wilder and John Lane did a wonderful job with the narration of this story. I thought that their voices complimented each other very well. I loved how they were both able to add a lot of emotion to the story in their reading and I thought that they were able to bring the characters to life. I found myself wanting to listen to this book for hours at a time and believe that their narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would highly recommend this book to hockey romance fans. I loved that a lot of that hockey played a big role in this story and I had a great time watching these characters fall for each other. I cannot wait to read more of Rebecca Jenshak's work as well as future installments in the Moo U Hockey series.

I received a digital review copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist.

Joel and Katrina carry a ton of baggage. The easy going player and the ever determined college student look like they have nothing in common, but looks can be deceiving. Jenshak brings to life a world where two focused people discover that when it comes to the heart, nothing proves to be easy. The Fadeaway is a journey of false starts, heartbreaking interruptions and hard won finishes. Keeping your head in the game means staying true to your heart. The Fadeaway is drowning in heart.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..I noticed that there were a lot of five stars, I couldn't understand why, not that the book was bad because it wasn't just didn't seem that worthy, why? So we meet Blair who is a smart sorority girl and she is go getter wanting to succeed for her and her best friend Gabby who was in an accident and now is scared and not really comfortable being out. Blair has a lot on her plate, failing working and being blackmailed by her scumbag ex. Her help ends up coming in the form of a hot smart Jock and they become more than friends but an accident changes things. Will Wes keep pushing her away? Will her scumbag ex pay for what he has done? I honestly am looking forward to a story about Gabby and Joel.
