Holy crikey. Anyone that knows me knows that reading is in my lifeblood. I read at least one book a day. I loved it so much I went back and got a degree in literature. books are the gateway to another realm and in this case, this book was most assuredly in another realm. A magical realm at that.

Paranormal romance is always hit and miss for me. I am very particular about it because as much as I like to think I have a good imagination it is hard for me to imagine this other world. Yet, this book didn't leave me lost. The author did a great job world building. Even though it is fantasy, the little girl in me was giddy at that thought that fairies had been real. The linguistics nerd in me loved the creation of a new language and that it was translated it. Not ashamed to admit that I tried to sound it out as I read it.

Characters were on point. Loved Kati and Adam. I loved that they were each other's one. It was great seeing them both learn about how to transition into each other's world. The storyline, even though fantasy, still was plausible which shows how talented the author is. There were lots of twists and different things at play here so the story was spent unraveling it. The ending left me both happy and heartbroken. It leaves me needing answers ASAP.

This book is just an example of the plethora of reasons that I live for literature. There is never a set reason for what will touch our soul or entwine itself into the template of who we are but as readers, we live for those moments. This book was one of those moments for me. From the beginning of the story until the last page I felt the magic that can only happen when a book is opened and we lose ourselves to the land of make-believe and life around us seems to cease existing.

This is a new to me author and one I am glad to have discovered. I implore everyone to give this author and story a chance.
