The Ardis Cole Series: The Curse of Senmut (Book 1) di Vickie Britton
there was nothing wrong with the book / no editing issues - unfortunately, it was plain boring. i couldn't wait to finish it so i could start a new book.
The following are some notes I make as I was reading: two authors, two voices, I am not sure how a story is created with two authors but I did sense some inconsistencies in the characters as they progressed through the story.
It was an easy read.

The beginning of a new series with the lead character Ardis Cole, an archeologist.
At the request of her mentor, Jane Darvin, Ardis heads to Egypt to help her investigate the tomb of Senmut, scribe and architect to Queen Hatshepsut. The tomb is Jane’s career goal but when she contacts Ardis she indicates there is no one there she can trust. When Ardis arrives at the tomb she finds Jane collapsed inside the tomb though they rush her to the hospital, she dies before she can take Ardis into her confidence and explain what is going on.
So begins the mystery of the curse and a rollercoaster ride of murder, attempted murder, and romance. I look forward to reading more of this series.… (altro)

This Kindle freebie has a fair number of formatting (scanning?) errors (such as "bu t" instead of "but"). If the stories had been better, I could have probably ignored these errors more easily and conversely, if these errors hadn't been annoying me, I probably would have liked the stories a bit more. Oh well.
