This book was not only very informative and explicative in its scientific material, but also with the material's historical backgrounds. It began with the smallest form of matter, and, with diagrams and examples, outlined many different elements and environmental effects on these elements. It took great scientific topics such as the periodic table and displayed a better way to read and use it.

I found this book to be very educational and easy to understand. I think it would be an eighth or ninth grade level book. The material is pretty advanced, but it is so easy to understand. I think that assignments could be done inside the classroom or out, with any of the metals introduced. Tests also on the outcomes of environmental factors could be produced in a lab setting.

I really liked this book. I may get it later on as a teacher if I end up in the science world. I learned some things I didn't know previously. Really good book!

The book begins by telling the reader what animals are made up of and ends with their classifications. THe book gives information about fish, birds, insects, land animals, feeding, life cycles, conservation, etc.

This book has many great facts. It would be a great book for a science class of course, but it is interesting. The book would be a good resource. The way it is written makes it interesting and fun to look at.

The book is not one that I enjoyed. I do love animals, but it was not a book that taught me anything fascinating really.

Great little reference book for children, kindergarten to grade 2 level. Includes scientific information about flowers, at a child's level; how to grow common flowers like sunflowers, pansies, african violets and spring bulbs; how to make flower crafts and pressing flowers; some trivia and history of flowers.
Attractive photos and illustrations, suitable for early readers and young children who love flowers.
Our kindergarten daughter loves it!
