Breve biografia: Othar Holmboe (1868-1928) was a Norwegian chemist, illustrator and painter. Born in Vefsn and raised in Tromsø, where he was trained as a pharmacist, he studied art at the Royal College of Kristiania, and debuted at the Autumn Exhibition (1898). He was involved in the establishment of the Tromsø Gallery of Contemporary Art with his father Othar Ervigius Holmboe. He died at Jessheim in 1928.
