Chance and Design: Reminiscences of Science in Peace… di Alan Hodgkin
A wonderful memior. Written with honesty about the serendipity of science and the twist and turns that life can take you on (for him the Nobel Prize...). The description of how a biologist ends up working on radar was enlightening. He also goes into reasonable detail about scientific work - complete with diagrams and 'scope captures. Folksy tone.
