G. B. Hartford

Yet to read this book but it will be fascinating. The last two pages give a chronology of Commander George Hartford's career - how I wish all autobiographies and biographies would include a CV/chronology! Commander Hartford's last words, on p.288, are these "From Senior Sub-Lieutenant to a Commander of four years' seniority, a period of sixteen and a half years, I was only out of command of one of HM ships for a year and a half.
