A very brief history of Aboriginal cricket in the nineteenth century, with an emphasis on the men who formed the Australian Aboriginal cricket team that toured England in 1868. The 1868 tour has been rescued from its obscure spot in history to be recognised as one of the great sporting tours of all time, and the members of the team, like its star players Johnny Mullagh and Cuzens, along with the already famous Dick-a-Dick, deserve their moment in the sun afforded by "Cricket Walkabout".

The book is very light and obviously only intended as an introduction to the players and the tour. Some of the information seems to have been superseded now, such as Dick-a-Dick's date of death and I found the odd typo throughout but it would be nice to think that this book will be picked up and read more often in the lead up to the sesquicentenary of the 1868 tour.… (altro)
