Sweet holy hell. I wasn't sure I could fall in love with this story or these characters more but I did. The connection between the characters was truly one of the best I've ever read. Thus story is heartbreakingly painful at times but it also is poignant and beautiful. The love that Gideon shows his jewel, especially when he his helping her live again, is truly inspiring.
Lots of twists in this story but every question is answered. I love all of these characters. Im a fan of this author now. I highly recommend this duet.… (altro)

I wasn't expecting this story when I started it. This book had so many amazing aspects to the story. The suspense was off the charts and the characters were so well thought out. The portion about the brother in the end confused me and is the main reason that this story didn't rank higher.

From the first page I was sucked into a story that hade me in a vise grip. I felt like this author had conjured a spell and I was unable to break free. I needed to know what was going on in this spellbinding story.
The connection between the characters was on another level. I cannot even describe it. All I know is that it was magic. Add in the mystery and the suspense and I didn't stand a chance from devouring this book.
I'm glad the next book is out because I'd be on pins and needles waiting for the conclusion otherwise.… (altro)
