H.B. Halicki

Totally bonkers millionaire, stunt driver, filmmaker and super-macho he-man H. B. Halicki, delivers one of the most ridiculously over-the-top car chase / smash 'em up movies ever filmed. The stunts include a car flying over a low-flying light aircraft amongst the non-stop barrage of car crash carnage. The plot is neither here-nor-there as writer, director and stunt driver Halicki goes all out to deliver an amazingly uber-gonzo, super destructive set of car chases. The pace is relentless, with the action punctuated with slow motion, freeze frames, jagged editing, wild cinematography, light comedy and bouts of zany hill billy country music. It is totally unflagging as it races from one super-destructive set-piece to the next on the way to its ultra-ludicrous climax. Not a great film but a fun joyride throughout.… (altro)
