This book is an excellent overview of the subway cars used on the BMT from 1915 through 1969. If you grew up in Brooklyn as I did, you'll find that the many photographs of these long-gone cars will bring back fond memories. I only wish I had been born twenty years earlier so I could have ridden imaginatively named cars like the Bluebird, the Green Hornet, and the Zephyr.
