Good account of the day to day life of a tankie. I guess the main thing I took from it was the degree to which 9RTR were billeted with locals and the reactions they got from them, an aspect one typically doesn't hear about in the usual sorts of histories.

Definitely worth a read for anyone with an interest in the military, but also for the "home front" students for whom this will provide an interesting contrast to the UK perspective often focused on.
