This book talks about cows and their life. It talks about what cows eat, drink, and what their different names. The book also talks about what cows provide for us. The illustrations in this book provide details to the words being read on the pages. This book will help children to understand more about cows.
This is a book about chickens, what is a chicken, the parts of a chicken, hens and roosters. It has lots of realistic pictures and easy reading for beginners.
Oceans is an informational text about the Earth's oceans. This story provides vocabulary and great information about Oceans. Also it contains great real life pictures to give readers vivid pictures to describe the information given in the text.
Critique: This a great informational text for beginning readers . The text is clear and the pictures off great text clues for help a struggling reader with the new vocabulary inside.
Craft elements: Before beginning this story ask students what they may know about oceans. Place answers on an anchor chart. While reading new information repeat new vocabulary back to students such as "what is a tide" pg 11.
While reading ask students "did you know that ocean water is constantly moving?" pg 10. After reading, discuss with students the new information they learned while reading this book. Add the new information to the anchor chart. After discussion, have students write an information writing piece on oceans. Allow them to look back on the anchor chart for help.… (altro)
