On the surface Emma believes she has it all - the looks, the family, the money - so it is her duty to help everyone less fortunate than herself. Which unfortunately she believes is everyone. This is so she can prove to her parents that she is worthwhile, and hide her insecurities.
Although it was a well-written story I just didn't care for any of the characters

Easy and fun read, with LOL humorous moments (witty comments) and a great romance. The focus is on the characters and the emotions, rather than the historical detail, which works fine in this story. Good start to what promises to be an engaging series.

If you read the blurb above and expect a fun YA mystery filled with espionage and action (like I did), then I’m sorry to say you’re most likely going to be very disappointed (like I was). Sasha is sent on an assignment in Brussels, Belgium for her special truth-extracting powers and talent in art to infiltrate the underground graffiti scene, identify the artist known as Kid Aert, and somehow persuade them into doing propaganda for the US.

The storyline has potential, but I lost interest pretty quickly somewhere in the middle of the book, especially when most of the book decided to focus on Sasha's high school life and romance instead. I did enjoy Sasha's blossoming friendship with Viviane, the teenage daughter of the undercover CIA agent whom Sasha is staying with in Brussels. Vivi is bubbly, outgoing, and trusting. She's someone Sasha, who has always pushed people away and never had a close friend, needs in her life. On the other hand, Sasha's romance on Sebastian just seemed tacked on. There really isn't anything special about Sebastian's personality to make me believe that Sasha would be attracted to him so quickly. In fact, I'm not sure Sebastian has much of a personality in the first place. It's another case in which lust is mistaken for love.

Her CIA assignment itself is also extremely easy to solve for the reader which makes it doubly frustrating that Sasha took so long to arrive to the same conclusion. It was already difficult to suspend my disbelief that Sasha first started working for the FBI at the age of twelve, and even at the age of sixteen, Sasha was never able to convince me she was mature enough to handle her position.

One of the biggest problems is that Sasha herself has the special snowflake syndrome. I can understand why she has trust issues and difficulties forming close relationships with others considering her past and her special power of making people say whatever's on their mind, whether it's polite or not. I can't help but side-eye her, however, when she starts to question why people like to group together and do simple things like go to the bathroom together or eat lunch together. News flash, Sasha: They're not doing it because they're sheep. They're doing it because they're friends.

I actually wished the book had focused more on Sasha and her relationship with her foster parent, Chelsea, instead. Rather than just tacking it on at the beginning and end, I would've liked it more if the entire story was just about the both of them kicking ass and taking names in the FBI together. That would've had a lot more potential.

A good retelling of Emma, with memorable characters. This would be a sure hit with YA lovers, but others will find it just as interesting.

Chastity Drummond is the oldest daughter of a self made socialite. She is invited to all the balls and social gatherings because of who she is and nothing more. Chastity has her sights set on this one guy, Mr. Highster who she thinks will benefit the company in the long run. But things are not going as planned and she decides to take matters into her on hands to get Mr. Highster to notice her. She ask her neighbor to help with the cause. When this happens does she still want to continue the plan?

Lord Lucas Willoughby is know as the Matchmaking Baron. He acquired the name by being engaged 6 times and each lady leaving him for someone else who is a love match. Lord Willoughby is trying to keep a low profile this season, but that doesn't happen once Chastity has gets involved. Will he be able to hold his own with this lady??

This is my first time reading anything by this author. I loved reading this book. I did not want to put it down. She started becoming one of my favorite authors, I have to read one or two to be sure. I can't wait to read Cecilia's others books. I highly recommend this book to others.

I received this book as an ARC.

Lady Francesca Warrington is coming out of a three year mourning of the her mother's death. She excepts to have at least one season that was not granted her during her three years of mourning. As she is coming out of her morning she finds out that is already engaged to the neighbor's son, her mother's best friend's son, and her best friend, Phillip. Franny is so upset cause no one told her this until the very last day of her mourning and she thought she was going to be free of her father and that life. But will she??

Lord Phillip March is the gentlemen next door. He grew up with Franny and know everything about her. He has known about the arrangement for awhile and just assume that she knew. When things come to ahead, how will he deal with it? Will the go through with the arrangement or there be an out clause?

I am enjoying reading this series by Cecilia. At first I didn't know what to think, but I couldn't not put the books down once I started reading them. I'm only into book two of the four part series but I can't wait to read the next one. That is how addicting this series it. I recommend this author, book, and series to others. I would re-read this book

The story is chick lit with a paranormal twist which the author pulls off convincingly and even though it is a short read it is not lacking. Plenty of chick lit humor, adventure and love. The ending did leave me hanging but over all I enjoyed it.

love, love, love this book.

Ok, so maybe i'm a couple years (decades) older than the target demographic, but I can't help it that some of my favorite books are from the YA genre. Reading these makes me feel young LOL

What I liked so much about this book was the story (already started the 2nd book and can't wait to read them all),the characters (young, fun, realistic and just enough spunk and angst), the setting (keep wishing i had gone to a boarding school like that), the writing (no complaints. none. story flowed well, made sense, kept me engaged, was easy to read and entertaining)
the whole thing reminded me of reading Enid Blyton's "The Twins at St. Clare's" series when I was young.
what more can you ask for? I sure can't. I'm happy, happy, happy with this series.

Also too short to get into the story too much, but very cute like the rest of this series.

Not my favorite books by this author, but fun and cute.

I LOVE Cecilia Gray. And I love the cover of this book. I was thrilled to get this book and couldn't wait to start reading.

Since it's very very very short, reading didn't take long. And it wasn't as good as her other books, which I LOVED. Did I mention I LOVED them?

This one is just too short....you just kinda get into the story and it's done. Of course a happy ending, and not really long enough to detour, so just pretty much straight line to the happy ending. When I got to the end I really wanted to read about the sister....
