This was a very great debut novel, I thoroughly enjoyed the second chance romance because I feel the author put all emotions in one story. It contained all the feels from steamy, angst, anger, pain, heartbreak and I felt like I was enduring it all with the characters. Sinclair is part of a band and they are heading back to Las Vegas to do a show there but Sin doesn't really want to go back because Las Vegas holds nothing but bad memories of how here and her ex ended. Jake is a big shot in Vegas and once he realizes that Sinclair will be back in his city he decides that now is the time to go for her and win her back, when he sets his sights on her he goes full force. This book had it all as I said and I loved every minute of it, I can't wait to see what is next from the author.… (altro)

This was a very unique novella that had me intrigued from the beginning. This author introduces us to a world that sounds like it’s going to be an epic tale and unpredictable things that may come. We have Marcus and his Devyn who are in the process of trying to take over a secret society that has controlled the underbelly of New Orleans for ages and now they are looking to expand and bring this into the modern age, but it almost seems that Marcus has a hidden agenda of his own. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about this new world, it’s cruelty, and I definitely will pick up the next ones to continue the story because now I’m sucked in.… (altro)

The blurb of this story drew me in followed by the cover. Las Vegas is my favorite city in the US which means I tend to gobble up anything that is written about it. So often, the books tend to gravitate toward the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" mantra but this book isn't one of them. I am in awe that this is the first book from this author. The writing was extraordinary. I am talking sublime. From the first word to the last, I was HOOKED.

Everything this author wrote, I felt on a visceral level. The betrayal, the heartbreak, the conflicting emotions, the uncertainty, and the passion. Good Lord, did I feel the passion. Even though some people tend to look unfavorable about a certain thing that happens in this book that Jacob does I think and it is a hard limit to read for them, I think that needs to be looked past. I can say this even though I have personally experienced it just as Sin did because not everything is black and white. It shows that as humans we are fallible. It is what happens when it is time to atone for making mistakes. In my opinion, this past transgression enhances the story because sweet lord, if there were ever two people who deserved this chance it is these two.

There were fantastic secondary characters, (I need Conner please) an outstanding foundation and storyline that allows for future growth, and chemistry galore. The steam was hot but didn't overpower this amazing story. Basically, in a nutshell, this book was one of the reasons that I love reading. Finding a new author and a book that connects is what makes reading magic.

I fell in love with this author when I discovered her last year. There is a quality and skill to her writing that feels like a gentle touch to my soul. Her writing almost feels poetic with word choice or the way that she phrases sentences. I also love that she knows how to give such vivid details.

The premise of this story is good. I liked the tie-in with New Orleans and how it was going to now tie in with Las Vegas. There was a lot of information in this little novella. At times, it got hard trying to keep track of all the characters and how they would be. I am hoping that when it comes time to the individual stories, and the reader only has to focus on one aspect or character, for the most part, it will get easier. I can see that the author did need to write this novella for the purpose of showing all the players in the game.

I can definitely tell that this will be an interesting story with a touch of darkness because how can it not when the seven deadly sins and Vegas are involved?
