The hero and the heroine had been mutually pining for each other for a long time. The heroine had been suffering from an undiagnosed medical condition that will finally be revealed in this book. The hero had been feeling rootless since the Midnight in Dallas band had disbanded and trying to find a new direction to his life. In this couple's book, there are events that will change the trajectory of their lives as well as taking the steps to changing their relationship.

This is the fourth book in the MIDNIGHT IN DALLAS series by Melissa Grace. This book is a friends-to-romance contemporary romance between a baker heroine and a drummer hero. The couple finally took that step that changed their relationship and this book dealt with that beginning amidst some life upheavals. I really enjoyed the relationship progression of the couple and how both dealt with the issues that comes up in this book. I also liked that the couple has a wonderful support group of secondary characters that were introduced in the previous books of this series. I would have liked a bit more details in certain areas of the story but it didn't detract from my reading enjoyment. Overall, a great addition to the MIDNIGHT IN DALLAS series and I look forward to reading more Melissa Grace books in the future.

4.25 out of 5 stars!

When the heroine's life turned upside down, she rushed back to her hometown to recuperate and find out what's the next step to her life. At a bar she meets the hero and the two instantly connected with each other. Though they don't expect to meet each other again after that first encounter, fate has other plans and the two met again. As they reconnect, they face life-altering decisions that will change their future, if they decide to take that step towards their own happiness.

This is the third book in the Midnight in Dallas series. All books in the series can stand by themselves, but to have a better image of the characters such as the hero, the series should be read in order. This book has a wonderful set of characters, and I enjoyed the growth that the main couple went through as individuals and together. I liked how the author have animals that are memorable within the story. Overall, a solid addition to the series and I look forward to reading more Melissa Grace books in the future.

Two lonely souls who have lost who they thought would be their forever partners decide to take a risk and see where their connection goes. This is the second book in the Midnight in Dallas series by Melissa Grace. While this book could be read as a standalone novel, I recommend reading the first book so that the characters can be a little better understood.

I loved Cash and Ella. I had little doubt that they would be the subject of the second book. Even though they were drawn to each other from the time of their first meeting, they truly became friends before they decided to explore a relationship. I loved this. When they did decide, it was physical right away which I wasn't as much a fan of. There is a dog that doesn't add a lot to the story but has a cute name, and the supporting characters are great. I'm hoping that we get more stories about them. I'm thinking a Dallas and Katie story would be the next logical choice. I enjoy Melissa Grace's writing style and look forward to more from her.… (altro)

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Liv meets Jax who is the lead singer of the rock group Midnight in Dallas at a meet and greet before one of their concerts. Both were interested at first sight and had their first "date" after the concert. Liv is recently divorced and a little scared of the age gap with Jax being 8 years younger than she is. He knows what he wants though and patiently pursues her.

I usually go for a slower relationship build, but this one read well. I liked both characters and loved the supporting characters too. Jax was definitely a swoony hero. Nashville setting works well with the music aspects of the story.

For those who like to know, kisses and closed door = low steam.
