I did not love this but I did not hate. For me, it was probably 2.5 stars but it was written so well I did not feel that two stars would have done it any justice. I did not like the characters and felt a certain way towards the heroine I cannot even say what it was that I did not like about her. I liked her relationships with other people yet I did not like her alone or her inner thoughts.

Where to start... I liked the writing itself, the plot? Not so much. Mostly because there isn't much plot in my eyes. Xbox, zombies, some date-ish scenes.
I didn't really care for the characters to be honest. Ridge made me feel rather bad, because he is a little bit of a cheating a-hole. I get it that he grieves his dad, but still. Micah identifies as loving girls and boys for a very short time and then he is gay? And I would have liked it if there would have been more about Micah's tribe. Ridge's girlfriend gets the part of the 'annoying, stupid girl who is in the way of the gay relationship'. So, really not my type of characterization.
Their relationship is suddenly... there. It developes really fast and I don't really get why. But that my have to do with me not liking the characters.
If you ignore the first half and concentrate on the second, it gets better. At least then I can kinda like Ridge and Micah's relationship and Micah's nieces are just adorable.
