Black Sands: The Seven Kingdoms is a comic series based on Egyptian mythology that gives me some strong Avatar the Last Airbender vibes, which is a plus in my book. The art is fantastic and each of the kids’ powers so far looks so cool. I am enjoying the story and am intrigued to see where this goes! I also appreciate the notes given along the way about how the story ties in with the history of the area and time period on which it was based. I’m a nerd for historical tie-ins!
