This is a laugh-out-loud book about how an artist moved from a solid job on the East Coast to the West Coast, where he and his girlfriend live with two cats. Along the way, they encounter all sorts of people, many of whom are typically the type you hear or read about in the media. Contrary to their expectations, the journey does not turn out to be as easy or carefree as they would have liked. The author definitely sheds light on the ups and downs of life, cloaking his trials and tribulations in well-developed and well-thought-out humor. I found this book a very easy, light read, but one with the serious message that life is not always what you might expect so everyone needs to be prepared for everything. In fact, the book shows how we can get through life with a dose of humor and good will. I am not a big cat person, but the cats in this book definitely added to its story and humor. With all the news we hear about today that is anything but light-hearted or fun, this book provides a much needed relief. I received this book from Library Thing to read and review.… (altro)
