Amaryllis Gacioppo

It's a little hard to explain what this book is about, but it's an interesting read anyway.
Written by a young woman born in Australia to Italian migrants. She tells her story and the stories of her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents through the cities in which they lived. So, the reader gets the human interest of the family story, plus some of the history and geography of the locales in which they lived their lives.
Sounds quirky, but it worked for me.
