The Amish Book Cellar by Tracy Fredrychowski is the first book in A Willow Springs Amish Mystery Romance series (that is a mouthful). I enjoyed getting to know Lydia and Aaron. Lydia’s love of books was apparent, and I like how she encouraged others to find joy in books. Aaron’s daughter, Mattie Rose is a sweetheart, and I loved Lydia’s dog, Yankee (he is protective of Lydia). The author did a wonderful job at creating the villains. The mystery had some fascinating elements. The mystery drew me in (I love a good whodunit), but the ending left me wanting. The romance was sweet. I like how faith was woven throughout the story. My favorite phrase from The Amish Book Cellar is, “Gott’s love knows no bounds. He sees beyond our faults and failures and embraces us with open arms. All we need is to trust in that.” The Amish Book Cellar is an uplifting tale about forgiveness, family, love, and faith.… (altro)

I totally loved this book. I love a good mystery and this book filled the bill! There were no boring moments in this book, rather it was full of action and very engaging. Lydia is a young woman, who after leaving the Amish, returns to attend to her father's passing and funeral. She takes over the care of his bookstore and finds that there is a secret. This is a story of love, forgiveness and miracles. It's a fast paced and wonderful read. I recommend it!

Welcome back to Willow Springs, Pennsylvania, for a powerful reminder that we're all susceptible to family problems! Author Tracy Fredrychowski is a master at creating characters that we all can relate to, and this is a perfect example of flawed people willing to change. It is an intriguing story of love, acceptance, forgiveness, and finally, redemption. There are references to the first four books in the Amish Women of Lawrence County series, but a first-time reader should have no trouble getting into this story. I enjoyed Allie's Amish Family Miracle and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I received a complimentary copy but there was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Allie’s Amish Family Miracle is my introduction to The Amish Women of Lawrence County series and while I am jumping right into the middle of this series, I feel like it was the perfect introduction to Lawrence County and its inhabitants.

This story is “a journey of the heart” for Allie as she navigates a new way of life as a young bride in circumstances that are less than ideal, and my heart hurt for her. I spent a lot of time feeling bewildered as I read. I think we’ve all dealt with a Saloma at one time or another in our lives, so the frustration of dealing with someone who is so incredibly stubborn and won’t listen is frustrating to experience and read about.

There are quite a few irons in the fire, with the narration switching from multiple characters, but the story’s message shines through no matter, and it is a powerful truth of forgiveness and coming together in times of hardship and strife. The redemption arc stole the show for me. Seeing a tragedy turn into a blessing is always a sight to behold. It started with conflict and ends with solidarity, acceptance, and love. It doesn’t get much better than that!

*I have reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.
