Jacqueline Foertsch is Professor of English at the University of North Texas. She is author of Bracing Accounts: The Literature and Culture of Polio in Postwar America, American Culture in the 1940s, and Enemies Within: The Cold War and the AIDS Crisis in Literature, Film, and Culture.
