This is actually quite a good "how to paint" in watercolour book...although Fletcher-Watson focuses very much on scenery. (He does venture into architectural painting ...in Italy). I rather like the way that he has a series of photos of his work to show the development of sky, mountains, foreground. buildings etc. It does give one a good feel for how you can follow this technique for a nice finished work.
Overall, not really my favourite style of painting so I won't be keeping this book. But four stars from me because of his practical and helpful approach.
