Nothing but Memories: A Belfast serial murder… di Derek Fee
This police procedural is set in Belfast when the brand new peace agreement brought an end to "the troubles". The murder mystery aspect of the plot is good but frequently interrupted by pages & pages of Irish history that slows the pace & lends a didactic feel to the book. It could benefit from substantial editing & easily be trimmed by 100 pages or so without losing any of the story as much of the info provided is not specific to the characters or necessary for the reader's enjoyment.… (altro)
