A simple, short story about a rabbit who enjoys "unrabbity" things like painting and music. When this special rabbit disappears, the other rabbits are sad, but they find that he has left them paints and instruments and they take up unrabbity hobbies themselves.

The art explodes off the page with energy and joy. I'm sure kids will wonder what happened to the extraordinary rabbit. Did he die or just go away? This ambiguity aside, the story proffers a hopeful message to those who have experienced the loss of someone special.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This is a cute book with great watercolor-like illustrations. There is a bit of a style collision with the questions, fun facts, and educational information. It feels a bit messy to me and could be hard for some kids to follow.

I Wonder About…Everything!

This is a story dedicated to the love between a child and his Papa. In this case, the Papa and child are penguins! As the little one asks lots of big questions, his Papa gives him the answers through words and actions.

Beautiful pictures, done by the author, illustrate their home and the questions that are asked. They capture the wonder and love that exists between the two, as well as, the large world the two live in.

The little one’s biggest question is wanting to know what love is. Even though Papa is getting tired of answering so many questions, he doesn’t hesitate to explain love, and to assure the little one that his Papa will always love him.

The illustrations in this over-sized picture book are a vital part of the story, and will amaze both the reader and child alike. This five-star book is recommended for preschoolers through first grade.

Worthy Kids has provided Tickmenot with a complimentary copy of, Papa Loves You, Tiny Blue, for the purpose of review.

This book does a good job representing the relationship between a trusting child and their loving parent. The illustrations, especially on the end pages, are wonderful, and the story line is pleasant, if predictable. The ocean facts and father as the loving parent is a nice addition.

The best part of this book is the beautiful, colorful illustrations. They are the kind of illustrations you could imagine using to decorate the walls of a baby's room. The illustrations beautifully depict nature and have strong coloring and design. The story follows a baby penguin asking a multitude of questions, which many parents will relate to with their own curious offspring. It starts with some standard questions about how the world and ocean works and ends with bigger questions like "Will you always keep me safe" and "what is love?" This is a beautiful book about father-son relationships that will entertain many.

The art work in this book is so beautiful. Both my 9 year old and 5 year old love this book. It's nice to see a book centered around a father and child's love

A cute story about a father answering the many questions of his inquisitive son. I liked the illustrations and the ocean facts woven into the story and at the end of the book.

(Full disclosure: I received a free copy of this book for review through Library Thing's Early Reviewers program.)

As his name implies, Tiny Blue is a little penguin, in more than one sense of the word: he belongs to the species Eudyptula minor (also know as blue or fairy penguins) and, as a youngster, he is teeny tiny, even for the smallest penguins in the world.

Like all youngsters, he's absolutely teeming with questions for his dad: 'Is there sand on the moon?' 'Do daddy sea horses have babies?' 'Why can't I fly?' And the million-dollar query: 'What is love?'

PAPA LOVES YOU, TINY BLUE is a charming children's book that celebrates both children's curiosity and the bond between a son and his father. The story is sweet, but Empson's breathtaking illustrations really steal the show.

Glorious pictures. Was not expecting the sudden theme of loss, but it worked for this simple-yet-complex story.

I'm fond of a book in which the protagonist says "nothing ever happens to me" even as the illustrations make it clear that an awful lot does happen. I'll be looking for more by Empson.

This book has a very cute story line of the positive energy and persona that a bunny can give off. Enlightening the tone of the forest and the relationships among the other rabbits that live in the forest with him, with bright colors, great music and a carefree spirit. When he, the main rabbit, has disappeared suddenly, the entire forest and other rabbits know that things are not the same, things begin to turn gray with no color or music anymore. This book is a fiction genre. the media displayed is water color and ink.
