Jame DiBiasio

An American woman thinks she is just entertaining Japanese businessmen. What she doesn't know is that she'll be running from more than just her past. It starts out as an innocent modeling job but turns out to be quite deadly. Mystery arises from decades earlier and calls for Val and her friend to reveal all.

This is not a simple story. I have to admit that I entered this story with a whole different mindset which meant the first bit took me a bit to get into. Once I did, I discovered an amazingly intricate story that spans decades and many countries. I think that is one of the strengths of this story. The plot is far from flat and keeps the reader guessing.

The characters are also full of depth. The story is just not where they are right then. The author brings in the past and shows how it has helped to shape the character and how they act. You will find these characters to be extremely developed and a joy to read.

There is some language, violence, and sexual comments and suggestions. It is an intense read with a few slow spots but overall active. It's a mystery with suspense and action.
