far too much of my time was spent listening to the juvenile angst of two emotionally under developed men. Overall not worth the effort.

sympathetic characters - interesting twists - nice that the primary characters were flawed in multiple ways - environment was not fully real (author lacks agrarian and militant experience) - nice low key touch of romance - good conflicts. At times the principle characters felt a little shallow.
