Tanith Davenport

Davenport can be such a tease, but definitely delivers on the heat by the end of the book! There's so much I want to say about this book, but I don't want to give any spoilers! This was a fairly quick read, but it packs quite a bit of heat in. The whole story is written from Angel's POV, and while I would love to have Judah's POV I think this keeps the tension a little better. The sexy scenes are descriptive enough to heat you up even on the chilliest nights. If you're looking for an unforgettable steamy rock star romance, then you've found your next read!… (altro)

This was a quick and interesting read. It's a steamy contemporary romance, and I really enjoyed Tamsin and Aspen as characters, and the sparks that fly between them. I would've loved to see their bond develop a little longer, but only because I was enjoying their story so much, I was sad when it was over so quickly. Tamsin really seems to find herself from start to finish in this story, which was an added bonus to the overall plot. A great quick, steamy read that you can get through in a few hours max.… (altro)

The Hand He Dealt by Tanith Davenport is a hot erotic romance about a young woman trying to find her place in the world and torn between the relationships in her life.

Astra Scott is a college student working on her degree in Gaming Management. She has a good job in a casino that promises hope for her future after she graduates. She has a boyfriend, Harry, that she loves. She has a fun and active social life with her best friend, Sasha. Everything seems perfect, but then Harry confesses a shocking secret that turns her world upside down. Unsure of her feelings for Harry and their relationship, she turns to her best friend for comfort, but Sasha’s boyfriend, Ash, is a constant presence. Encounters with Ash have always been heated and add to the mounting stress in Astra’s life.

I very highly recommend this book and give it 4 out of 5. The story is well written and the characters are vivid and real. There are many twists and turns in this story that constantly surprised me. It has plenty of heat, but there is much more to this story as well. It’s a fast paced story that’s full of drama, mystery, suspense, passion, and romance.

I liked Astra and was pulling for her from the start. She’s strong, independent, and determined. As a young college student she is still discovering so much about herself and relationships. In a confusing and stressful time of her life, she grows and becomes even stronger and more sure of herself. As she struggles to make a decision about her relationship with Harry, it also appears that she may be in danger, adding some mystery and suspense to the story.

Overall this is a very entertaining read that hooked me from the start and kept me hooked. It’s a full length novel but I found it to be a fast read and when I reached the end I hated to say good-bye to the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be watching for more from this author in the future.… (altro)
