A wonderful look at various board games that came from and to ancient Egypt, their history, and a bit about how they were played. The best source of information that's easily accessible that I've been able to find on mehen, senet, and the game of twenty, all in one place. It's very accessible.

My only criticism is at least on the epub edition the references to images when images are absent is a bit confusing. Rather than flipping back and forth to the ending, I'd rather see the thing on the page. Or at least a diagram.

Overall a very good read, particularly if you're interested in how the movements of peoples through trade, war, and immigration affected different cultures.… (altro)
