This book is a picture book although there is no story line, there are descriptions that align with each picture. It shows the rich history of Butte, Montana when it was the largest town in Montana at the beginning of the 20th century. I found this book in my school library at Whittier Elementary in Butte, Montana. The book has stunning photos of Butte’s rich history in mining and from when it had a population of over 100,000 people with people from all over the world. Butte is my hometown and it is amazing to look at pictures and then drive by that same location later and see how much it has changed. I would use this book for any students in third grade or above. I also would use this book for ideas for a history project around Butte.… (altro)
