A different kind of story for me, but glad I read it! A nurse travels through the different groups of people with the top being a hateful species the is enslaving those they think below them. Lots of turmoil with a surprise ending!!

Loved it!

Georgianna is a medic on an earthlike planet which has had the unfortunate experience of having been through some catastrophic climate changes. While some of the inhabitants escaped into space on ships, many were left to tunnel into the earth and adapt to the changes. When deemed safe, the escapees return and declare authority over the ones left behind.

Imprisonment, slavery, torn relationships, drama and suspense. This book has it all. This book will appeal to anyone with an interest and love for dystopian fantasies.

*I have received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Be prepared to be bitten by Teeth…

Thomas awakes one night in a basement he has never been to. He cannot remember where he was or how he got there. A woman hangs from the ceiling, leaking blood onto the floor. A man appears, telling him he must drink from her or die. Thomas then learns he has become a vampire. But all Thomas wants is to continue his job as a medical intern – the one he has worked so hard to get. But how can he work as a medical intern when the mere sight of blood drives him crazy?

Spencer has been a vampire for five years, now he is charged with the task of training Thomas, and ensuring they don’t have any run ins with the police. However the police are not their only worry, the vampire community have strict rules in place, and one single mistake could have disastrous effects for everyone.

Welcome to The Bibliophile Chronicles stop of the Teeth blog tour! Organised by the lovely Faye at Faye Rogers PR.

Are you a bit sick of brooding vampire stories with sparkly vampires who do nothing but complain? Then this is the perfect book for you. Teeth is such an addictive read! It’s full of action, violence and excitement. Everything you could possibly want from a vampire novel.

The book is told from various different perspectives: there’s August, Thomas and Spencer. Each are dealing with their own issues, and each brings something fascinating to the story. I loved the way that through Thomas’s transformation we are told the stories of Spencer’s journey into vampirism, it really gave the characters a great amount of depth.

The story is pretty fast paced, there’s always something going on and each chapter left me itching to know more. The writing is very vivid and intense

book for you.

It’s a very well paced story. There’s plenty of goings on, but there’s still plenty of time to explain things and give the characters more depth. I was intrigued the whole way through and always wanted to know more. Be warned though the chapters are quite short, which of course led me to saying “oh just one more chapter” long after I should have been in bed.

The characters are really great in the story. I think August was definitely my favourite. They’re all very vivid, from the sinister elder Charles – who you never stop being suspicious of – to the angry, murderous, killing his whole wedding party William. Perhaps one of the most interesting thing about Teeth is the way Chele Cooke pokes fun at the new wave of vampire fiction. When Thomas is learning about his transformation he asks if he has mind powers like they do in the movies, and Thomas explains that they are not that different from humans, they have simply reverted back to something more primal, a hunter. There’s even a vampire who writes paranormal vampire fiction – that really had me laughing. Cooke’s vampires shy away from the tired old clichés of brooding, tortured vampires. They’re violent, witty and kick-ass.

The book is also a pretty gory one. Several times I shuddered at the vivid descriptions, but that just adds to the overall tone and feel of the book. I really enjoyed Teeth, and am definitely looking forward to the next instalment in the series!
