Fascinating account of his ubringing with a difficult alcoholic father then of his time in the army and the SAS and how he took part in the Libyan embassy siege, but his experiences in N Ireland were also pretty scary. Then he finds faith and moves through various dfferent christian groups honestly admitting the personality problems that caused fallouts in each. Then he meets a bishop who is so impressed with him he ordains him on the spot but later he gets properly trained in Oak Hall theological college. Any triumphant tone in the book is deflated by the note at the beginning that after all those experiences he killed himself.… (altro)
