- Breve biografia
- Amy Key Clarke was born in London, England. Her parents were Henry Clarke, a lecturer and tutor, and his wife Amy, née Key, a writer and educator known professionally as Mrs. Henry Clarke. She was educated at St. Paul's Girls' School and at Cheltenham Ladies' College. She read Classics at the University of Cambridge, and after graduation returned to join the faculty at Cheltenham, where she remained for nearly 30 years. She wrote two histories of Cheltenham Ladies' College, a scholarly edition of a work by the Latin poet Claudian, and The Story of Truro High School (1980), which included a memoir of her mother, its first head teacher. She also wrote a mystical poem, "Vision of Him," published in the Oxford Book of English Mystical Verse (1917) and The Universal Character of Christianity (1950).
