Joseph P. Clancy is Marymount Manhattan College's Emeritus Professor of English Literature and Theatre Arts. He is a Fellow of the English-language section of Yr Academi Gymreig, and an honorary fellow of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

Follows on from earlier work by Clancy, worth buying for the full range of Early Welsh poetry, from the Early Poets to the Poets of the Gentry. Worth getting because it handily contains a full translation of the Gododdin, most of the Taliesin and Llywarch Hen poems and the Armes Prydein - all set in context. Easier to find than Jenny Rowland's monumental Early Welsh Saga Poetry.
