Using a similar structure to And Then Comes Halloween, Brenner paints a lovely picture of the winter season and a family's preparation for Christmas. These titles are worth examining for the sensory images - frost glistening, icy grass crunching underfoot. Then it's time to "fill the windows with paper snowflakes." When this, then that.... a possibility for a mentor text to engage kids with crafting images.½
